Page Music Jazz Ensemble (for kids!)
The Page Music Jazz Ensemble is a student music group devoted to all forms of jazz music, intended for students of the approximate age range 9 - 14. Students will learn to play popular jazz arrangements by artists like Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and more! Students will learn to read jazz charts and improvise over various forms.
The Page Music Jazz Ensemble is led by jazz saxophonist Daniel Bennett. The ensemble will rehearse on Sundays, on a bi-weekly basis. The ensemble will perform at Page Music events, and at various venues around Boston. Students should have at least two years of training on their instrument, and no previous jazz experience is necessary. Enrollment is $200 per semester (8 rehearsals). JiYun Jeong's Student Recital
JiYun invites her violin and viola students to attend an informal student recital each semester. Students will have a chance to meet other students and hear the material they’re working on, and share performance and practice strategies.
