Kurt combines his easy-going attitude and sense of humor with his love for teaching and playing the guitar. He is an ideal teacher for students looking to improve in rock, jazz, and blues styles.

Kurt has been playing guitar for most of his life. He started playing at age ten and teaching at fourteen. In 2004 he was accepted to Berklee College of Music on scholarship. While at Berklee he became well-versed in a wide variety of guitar playing, including Jazz, Blues (incl slide guitar), Pop, Rock, Metal, and even Klezmer.

Kurt has had a dedication to his craft right from the beginning. He understands what it's like to be a student and what it takes to be a teacher. He approaches each of his students with their own unique lesson plan, tailored specifically to their needs. Kurt understands that everyone wants to learn different things in their lessons, from sight-reading and theory to simply playing their favorite songs. Kurt also helps prepare his students for Page ensemble classes like Jam Night .

As a teacher, Kurt strives to bring joy and discipline through musical studies that will help students both on their instrument and in their everyday lives. He challenges his students but does not overburden them. His teaching methods are designed to excite and inspire his students so they can get the most out of their musical experiences.

Kurt earned his music degree at the acclaimed Berklee College of Music with a degree in guitar performance.
