Elena Ioannisyan was born in Nalchik, Russia. She started studying piano at the age of six at the State music school. Elena studied piano for 10 years before she was accepted to the State music college, where she received her Bachelor's degree in piano performance and pedagogy. At the age of 19 Elena was accepted to the Master's program to the North-Caucasus College of Arts where she studied for 2 years before moving to Saint-Petersburg, Russia. In the year 2000 after a very competitive audition Elena was selected to the Master's degree program at the very prestigious Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory, where P.Tchaikovskii, S.Rahmaninov, I.Stravinskii, S.Prokofiev, D.Schostakovich and many other great composers and performers studied.

 

In 2006 Elena successfully graduated with the Master's degree and moved to the United States.

 

Elena actively performs performs in different concert series, festivals and piano competitions: “Concerts in Mariinsky (Kirov) Theater” (Russia), “Concerts in St-Petersburg State Conservatory” (Russia), “Gaetano Zinetti International Music Competition and Festival” (Italy, guest artist). Elena performs as a soloist and as a member of chamber ensembles in the best concert halls of Saint-Petersburg and other cities (Pushkin, Pavlovsk, Petergof, Gatchina etc.)

 

Elena is a winner of the International Music Competition “XXIst Century Arts” in Kiev, Ukraine (2005).

 

In the year 2000 Elena was selected to teach at the State music school in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, where she taught piano for six consecutive years.

 

Currently, Elena lives in Boston. She teaches and performs in the New England area. She is a faculty member of the prestigious Sharon Music Academy and Page Music Lessons.
