Voice

A small town Minnesota girl at heart, Alena Taylor has always known she wanted to be a vocal instructor. As the daughter of a local musician, she had a strong enthusiasm for music from a very young age. She was encouraged and inspired by her vocal teacher in Minnesota to pursue her dream at Berklee College of Music. There she concentrated her academic studies to focus on Education, Performance, and Business in preparation for her career as a private voice lesson instructor. She graduated with honors in 2004.

Alena has proven that there is no venue too big, too small, or too far away from home to showcase your voice talents. She began by performing in church, school choirs, and talent shows, singing both popular music and classical. Her love for sharing music carried her across the world to Russia to perform with the St. Cloud University Singers. She has also given performances for private and public audiences in Germany and Belgium before landing in Boston. Alena currently sings with the Cambridge Community Chorus.

With just one piece of luggage and not a friend to her name in Boston, Alena felt honored to attend Berklee, and studied hard. She was able to enhance her vocal skills to include Jazz, R&B, and Country styles, while she expanded her knowledge of Rock and Pop vocal techniques. She enjoyed tutoring her classmates as she honed her own teaching skills. She has been teaching private voice lessons in Boston since 2002. Her students have ranged tremendously in age, style, and experience level, but they have all been captured by Alena's passion and enthusiasm for singing.
